United Way of Greater Los Angeles in partnership with Valero celebrated Dr. Seuss day on March 2 by pulling together business partners and volunteers to engage and read to young elementary school students across the Wilmington area.  Nine schools in total received books donated by Valero with each student in grades K through 3 receiving a book of their very own.

75 total volunteers managed by UWGLA were a part of a nationwide effort to engage young readers and evoke excitement for literary entertainment and education.  This partnership with Valero is part of the impact and mission work that make up the education pillar of United Way of Greater Los Angeles.  Be sure to see photos and learn more about how you can be a part of this type of mission work by becoming an advocate or becoming a recurring donor.
